Virgen de la Calle (Virgin of the Street) is a 2013 Spanish-language telenovela that was produced by RTI Producciones and Televisa for United States-based television network UniMás and Venezuela-based television network RCTV. It is a remake of Juana la virgen, a Venezuelan telenovela produced for RCTV. María Gabriela de Faría and Juan Pablo Llano are the protagonists.
The recordings began in April 2013[1] and ended for the month of December of the same year.[2]
Plot
Mauricio Vega, director of the magazine "La verdad", is desperate for a son and heir, and he and his wife decide to use the services of a surrogate mother. Unfortunately, in the hospital the name of the surrogate is confused with that of Juana, a young student. Juana is artificially inseminated with Mauricio's semen.
