La Noblette Aerodrome, was a temporary World War I airfield in France. It was located 1.6 miles (2.6 km) Southeast of the commune of Mourmelon-le-Grand, in the Marne department in north-eastern France.

Overview

The airfield's origins are undetermined. It was used by the 103d Aero Squadron shortly after its pilots were incorporated into the Air Service, United States Army from the French Lafayette Escadrille and Lafayette Flying Corps in February, 1918. It was used as the squadron's main operating base. From La Noblette, the Americans flew daily patrols against enemy aircraft over the Champagne Sector. In early April, the squadron moved to the Aisne sector and began flying from the Bonne Maison Aerodrome. Its subsequent history is undetermined.

After the armistice, the airfield was returned to agricultural use. Today it is a series of cultivated fields located southeast of Mourmelon-le-Grand, with no indications of its wartime use.
