Kyle York (entrepreneur)
Kyle York (born November 26, 1982) is an Internet entrepreneur, startup advisor, angel investor,[1] cloud and Infrastructure-as-a-Service expert[2] and sought-after global public speaker on cloud migration, internet security and hybrid cloud strategy.[3] York is an executive at Dyn, currently serving as Chief Strategy Officer.[4] Dyn was acquired by Oracle on November 21, 2016.[5] York also sits on the boards of Datanyze, CloudApp and 3rd Generation family business, YORK Athletics MFG. where he is a co-founder. York is also an active angel investor and advisor [6] in dozens of fast growth Internet companies.[7] He has been part of eight successful exits as an investor and employee. Companies he has invested in and worked as a go-to-market (GTM) leader have been acquired by Cisco, Cognizant, New Relic, Oracle and Sophos.[8]
Background
York and his four brothers were born into the family business. His grandfather founded Indian Head Shoe Company in Manchester, NH in 1946. York and his brothers have remained active in the company.[9] York has also held various strategy, product and GTM leadership roles in sales, business development, marketing and services throughout his career.[10][11] York is a New Hampshire native and holds a BS in Marketing from Bentley University. He lives in Bedford, NH, with wife and two sons.

Dyn – Chief Strategy Officer/GM
Dyn is a cloud-based Internet Performance Management (IPM) company.
- As the Chief Strategy Officer of Dyn, York was a critical component of the Oracle acquisition of Dyn on November 21, 2016 and was the lead spokesperson for the announcement.[12]
- York has played a leading role at Dyn through many Internet scale events over the years. York helped scale Dyn to nearly $30M ARR in 2012 and raise it's $38M Series A Round after 11 years of bootstrapping business growth[13] He later was part of the negotiation for a $50 Million Series B from and Pamplona Capital Management in May 2016.[14] In total, Dyn scaled to $100M ARR before the Oracle acquisition.

- York has often served as a key spokesperson for Dyn, most notably during the Oct. 21st, 2016 DDoS attacks. His commentary was included in publications such as The New York Times,[20] The Wall Street Journal,[21] TechCrunch,[22] VICE [23] and more. He also appeared on The Today Show[24] to discuss IoT security as it related to the attack.
