Kumbungu is one of the constituencies represented in the Parliament of Ghana. It elects one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election. It is located in the Northern Region of Ghana. The current member of Parliament for the constituency is Moses Amadu Yahaya.[1] He was elected on the ticket of the Convention People's Party (CPP) with a majority of 13,029 of the total vote cast to beat his closest contender, Alhaji Imoro Yakubu Kakpagu of the NDC who polled a little over 11,000 votes to win the constituency election to become the MP.[2] He had earlier represented the constituency in the 4th Republican parliament.
