Ksenija Pavlovic

Ksenija Pavlovic is an American independent journalist, political scientist, educator, political and cultural critic, a published poet,^[1] and author of the novel Pisma Vetru.^[2] She is the founder, Editor-in-Chief and White House Correspondent of the American independent media The Pavlovic Today.

Life

Pavlovic was born in former Yugoslavia.^[3] After graduating in Journalism and Political Science from the University of Belgrade Faculty of Political Sciences and obtaining an M.A. in American politics, she moved to London to study at the London School of Economics (LSE) earning an MSc in European Ideas and Identities.^[4]

Pavlovic's work has contributed to publications including The Spectator and Yale Herald^[5] and media on the Balkans including the Original,^[6] magazine founded by the Novak Djokovic Foundation. She serves on the foundation's editorial board as Managing Editor and is an advocate for early childhood education.^[7]

Pavlovic has interviewed figures including Arianna Huffington, Oscar-winning actress Marion Cotillard, filmmaker Abel Ferrara, Anna Wintour,^[8] Sir Richard Branson,^[9] President of the World Bank Jim Yong Kim,^[10] Karlie Kloss, filmmaker and founder of the Webby awards Tiffany Shlain, film director Lars von Trier, actors Adam Brody, Monica Bellucci, Claudia Cardinale,^[11] fashion designers Adolfo Dominguez, Tommy Hilfiger and Donna Karan, publisher and former presidential candidate Steve Forbes; the tennis player Novak Djokovic;^[12] novelist Martin Amis,^[13] as well as big names in the governmental arena such as the leading members of the first democratic Serbian government and Milorad Dodik, President of the Serbian entity of BIH.^[14]

Pavlovic has covered events such as the Cannes Film Festival, Venice Film Festival, Sarajevo Film Festival, Madrid Fashion Week, The Madrid Open as well as The Clinton Global Initiative.^[15]

She has served as a Teaching Fellow on both undergraduate and graduate levels at Yale University, as well as a Doctoral Fellow in the Political Science department at Yale University, Lead Instructor in International Affairs and Security and Politics, Law and Economics programs at Yale Young Global Scholars, Head Writing Fellow at the Yale Graduate Writing Center,^[16] Fellow of the “Research and Travel Award in Grand Strategy” from International Security Studies (ISS) at Yale University, Fellow of the Roger Hertog Global Strategy Initiative in Religious Violence at Columbia University, a Doctoral candidate in Political Conflict and Peace Building Processes at Complutense University in Madrid, Fellow of the OSI Global Supplementary Grant Program, and a Visiting Doctoral Fellow at the Juan March Institute.^[17]

Pavlovic’s doctoral dissertation aims to explain Al-Qaeda’s strategic behavior and organizational structures within the context of a broader theory of revolutionary terrorism and millenarian movements. She has been based in New York City and Washington D.C.

The Pavlovic Today

Ksenija Pavlovic has launched an independent media venture The Pavlovic Today, where she serves as the Editor-In-Chief and the Chief White House Correspondent.^[18]
