Krasnoshchyokovsky District (Russian: Краснощёковский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[2] district (raion), one of the fifty-nine in Altai Krai, Russia. It is located in the south of the krai. The area of the district is 3,543 square kilometers (1,368 sq mi).[3] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Krasnoshchyokovo.[1] As of the 2010 Census, the total population of the district was 19,251, with the population of Krasnoshchyokovo accounting for 26.4% of that number.[4]
