Kolkata Mirror is a city specific website owned and operated by the Times Group, the publishers of The Times of India newspaper. The website is solely devoted to Kolkata and its people. It features Top Stories, World, Business, Entertainment, Science, Health, Weather, Most Popular, News Photos, Op/Ed, and Local news.
Kolkata Mirror's online section have 'Citizen Reporter', which intends to aggregate city specific inputs from readers, there’s a discussion board and a writers corner. There is a classifieds section called Bazaar Online, generic classifieds sites haven’t really worked in India so far, but could for niche city specific portals.There are even sections such as lifestyle, travel, entertainment and time pass which fairly contributes to entertain and brings refreshment in peoples mind.[1] The Times Group already has a site for the Mumbai Mirror, and they have also registered DelhiMirror.com and BangaloreMirror.com. The content and the design of Kolkata Mirror and Mumbai Mirror are significantly different.
