Kim Jungwoo (born on May 9, 1990), is a South Korean singer and actor. He is a former member of SPEED and Coed School.

Career

Predebut

Jungwoo won 1st place in the FNC Music Open Audition Grand Prix 2009 and was a trainee until 2010. He later moved to Core Contents Media and made his debut with Coed School in the same year.

Coed School

Jungwoo made his debuted as Coed School member with stage name "Yoosung" on September 30, 2010 and released their digital single "Too Late",[1][2] followed by their second digital single "Bbiribbom Bberibbom" three weeks later.[3] The group was released mini album "Something That Is Cheerful and Fresh" on October 28, 2010. It features three previously released songs and various remixes.

SPEED

Jungwoo debut as a member of South Korean boy group Speed in 2012 and He using his real name Jungwoo as stage name. The group made their first performance on Music Bank on February 17, 2012.[4]

Speed originally was introduced as male unit of Coed School but the group become independent group in 2013 after Core Contents Media stated that they have no plans for Co-Ed School to reform again as both of its sub-units had grown and changed their line-ups to become independent ensembles.

In January 2016, Jungwoo announced on his Twitter and Instagram that his contract has expired with MBK Entertainment and was parted ways from MBK Entertainment and SPEED to firm under Maroo Entertainment (Kim Jong Kook's agency).
