Khatra Adibasi Mahavidyalaya, established in 1979, is the general degree with honours college in Khatra, a hilly area near Mukutmonipur, most vibrating and solitude place under Bankura district, India. It offers undergraduate courses in arts and commerces and sciences. It is affiliated to Bankura University.
History
This college was established in 1979 by Govt. of West Bengal. Honorable chief minister of that time, Jyoti Basu, inaugurated this college. With the inauguration of this college, a new era in the higher education sector begined in this educationally backward belt.

Location
The college is about 3 Kilometers away from the Sub-Divisional town of Khatra and located beside the Bankura – Jhilimili highway.
Accreditation
Recently, Khatra Adibasi Mahavidyalaya has been re-accredited and awarded C+ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).[1] The college is also recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).[2] This college has already successfully organized three National seminars.It has one strong N.C.C. group & three powerful N.S.S. units.
