Ex- Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah laid the foundation stone on Saturday, 29 December 2012 along with Vice Chancellor LUMHS Jamshoro, Prof Dr. Mashoor Alam Shah who was after made the Principal of Khairpur Medical College. Director of Admission o & adviser to VC LUMHS Jamshoro Dr. Mumtaz Ali Channa was made the Administrator of Khairpur Medical College. They started the mission to established the college at old ruined elementary college at station road Khairpur. Dr. Mumtaz Ali channa in the supervision of Prof. Dr Mashoor Alam Shah along with the team of five staff member hired through LUMHS Jamshoro, i-e one sub Engineer Javed Akhtar Channa, one peon, Arif Hussan, two watchman Asif Channa & Barkat. They worked day and night and made the old ruined elementary college into an accomplished dream, The new teaching and non-teaching staff was hired. The admission of 1st batch of 100 medical students was made in 2015. CM declared that Khairpur Medical College will become best institution.[1] The college was later affiliated with Peoples University of Medical Health Sciences Nwabshah .[2] The Chief Minister of Sindh .[3]

Facilities At College

Main Campus

The college has spacious with 7 Departments, three at main building and four at clinical hospital side at civil hospital Khairpur. Each Departments has its own lecture Hall, laboratory, Tutorials, demonstration room and seminar library equipped with all the modern teaching aids and multimedia. Khairpur Medical College has one girls hostel and New Plan of construction has started at 28 acres at KTN plot .

Library

Library is placed on first floor of building which plays a major role in the academic life of a student and the institute. A well equipped library along with audio-visual facilities like CD's, data projection system and internet facilities is available for use of students and staff.

Khairpur Medical College enrolls 100 students yearly.Now 300 Students are enrolled in Khairpur Medical College
