Kentucky Route 3500 (KY 3500) is a rural secondary state highway located entirely in Allen County in South Central Kentucky. The route has a total length of 4.085 miles (6.574 km).

Route description

KY 3500 begins at a junction with KY 1147 just east of that route's junction with US 31E/231 in Petroleum. It closely follows US 231/31E on its northerly course until it ends at a junction with KY 100 on the southern outskirts of Scottsville.[2]

History

This route was the original alignment of US 31E/US 231 (which from Petroleum to Scottsville until it was re-aligned to a straighter path in the 1970s.

Currently, KY 3500 is one of two older alignments of US 31E that still remain. The other one is Old Glasgow Road (partially designated as KY 3499) going northeast of Scottsville.
