Ken Sikkema was a Republican politician from Michigan who served in both houses of the Michigan Legislature between 1987 and 2006 representing areas in and around Grand Rapids.[1]
Sikkema served as Republican Leader in the House in the 89th Legislature, and as the Majority Leader of the Senate in the 92nd and 93rd Legislatures.[2]

- ↑ Before turning Republican, Sikkema was a liberal Democrat, serving State Senator John Otterbacher as his Chief of Staff and Campaign Director of Otterbacher's run for the US Senate seat occupied by Republican Robert Griffin. He later served as a Democratic campaign consultant on numerous Democratic campaigns ranging from local office like county commissioner to Democratic nominated State Supreme Court Justices.
