Keener Cave, Missouri

Keener Cave is an extinct town in Wayne County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. The GNIS classifies it as a populated place.^[1]

Variant names were "Keener" and "Keener Cave Resort".^[1] The community most likely has the name of a family who were active in the local lumber industry.^[2] A post office called Keeners was established in 1877, and remained in operation until 1879.^[3]
