Karlie Redd (formerly known as Keisha Lewis[1]) is an American television personality, hip-hop artist and actress. She is best known to be part of the main cast of the VH1 reality show Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.
Early and personal life
Born in New York City, New York, Redd spent much of her childhood in Trinidad and returned to attend The Harlem School of the Arts and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.[2][3] Redd has stated that she is "in her twenties" but will not reveal any exact details, stating "I never tell my age."[4][5] This has been disputed by Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta co-star K. Michelle and Redd's ex-boyfriend and fellow co-star Benzino, Yung Joc, Scrapp DeLeon, Lyfe Jennings and Ceaser from Black Ink Crew ,who both state that she is older than she claims.[6][7] Redd has an adult daughter who is in college, Jasmine, who has appeared on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.[8] Redd is a college graduate. Career
In 2001, she was cast in the movie Black Spring Break 2. [10] In 2008 she was in the VH1 reality show Scream Queens. In 2012 she was cast in the spin-off VH1 reality show, Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta. In the summer of 2012, Karlie launched the Redd Remy Hairline by Karlie Redd.[11] In July 2012, Karlie released her debut single, "A Girl Has Needs" on iTunes.
