Karintha Styles (born September 9, 1977)[1] is a NBA commentator and former broadcast journalist for American Forces Network. She has co-hosted Week N Sports on TuneIn [2] and IHeartRadio [3] with Elizabeth Kaikai since 2016.
Career
Styles started her career at Howard University. In 1996 She became the first female Sports Editor of The Hilltop in school history. She has covered college sports, Major League Baseball, the National Football League and the National Basketball Association. During her career, Styles has covered two Super Bowls, three Final Fours, and five NBA Finals. Notably, she covered the Mississippi State win over UConn that ended UConn’s consecutive game winning streak at 111 games of top-ranked Connecticut Huskies women's basketball by SEC (she was in Dallas to cover 2017 NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Tournament).[4]
Personal life
Born in Detroit, Michigan, Karintha Styles received her journalism degree in 1996 from Howard University. Styles and her husband Nick Styles currently reside in New Orleans, LA. Styles has written a book of poems called A Stroke of Life. Her first novel Prey for Me; Pray for Our Children is due out September 9, 2017.
