Karim Kassem (Arabic: كريم قاسم‎‎, IPA: [kæɾˈiːm ʔæːsem] also spelled Karim Qassem, born 8 October 1986) is an Egyptian actor.

Biography

Kassem was born to a father of French and Arab ancestry a Jewish[1] mother in Cairo. He is a graduate of the American University in Cairo, where he studied theater and acted in many of the university's plays.[2] He is trilingual in Arabic, French and English.[2]

Discovered in 2006 while taking an acting workshop,[3] he had his cinematic breakthrough in the teen drug film Awqat Faragh.[4] Kassem has co-starred with colleague Amr Abed in three of his films.[2]
