Karera is a municipality or Nagar Palika in the Shivpuri district of the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.The city hosted ITBP Training center. It is one of the biggest training center in india.
Geography
Karera is the second-largest city in the Shivpuri district after Shivpuri itself. Karera is located at 25°28′N 78°09′E / 25.47°N 78.15°E.[1] It has an average elevation of 305 meters (1000 feet) and covers approximately 41.8 km.
Demographics
According to the 2011 India census,[2] Karera has a population of over 100,943. Males constitute 55% of the population, while females constitute 45%. Sixteen percent of the population is under 6 years of age. Karera has an average literacy rate of 78%, higher than the national average of 59.5%. Male literacy is 83% and female literacy is 64%.
