Kanekonia is a genus of velvetfishes native to the western Pacific and eastern Indian oceans.[1]

There are currently four recognized species in this genus:[1][2]

- Kanekonia leichhardti J. W. Johnson, 2013 (Leichhardt's Velvetfish)[2]
- Kanekonia pelta Poss, 1982
