The Kanazawa Samuraiz (金沢武士団 - Kanazawa Samuraizu) are a professional basketball team based in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan. The team is an expansion club that will enter the bj-league in the 2015-16 season along with Astrais Nagasaki.[1]
Formation
In February 2015 the club's president announced that the name "Samuraiz" had been selected from over 800 public submissions. It was chosen as being symbolic of the Hokuriku region's history and culture.[1]
