Summary

Kalathur Gramam is a period film of genre 'Action-Drama' covering 3 decades of the 70s-80s-90s. In a single line, the story narrates an era of dispute between a father and son. The plot portrays the life happenings in a village 'Kalathur Gramam' which is located in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu border.

The movie is being shot in Tuticorin District Ettayapuram taluka T.Puthupatti. We chose a village there after looking at over 75 villages all over Tamil Nadu . A secluded village with about 10 families living there , where a set was built exclusively by Mr.Thotta Tharani and team. Costumes are a key factor in this movie. We have made sure that it is a subtle but a stand-out factor in the movie.

Costumes have been designed specially to depict the period differences. Praveen has keen eye to detailing and that ensures the differentiation from period to period.

The movie being action oriented, special focus has been given to keep every fight as realistic as possible. The stunts are interesting yet believable.  There are no special effects or filmy larger than life fights.

Music Direction is by Maestro Ilayaraja, and this marks his 1005th film.
