The Kałłа́ur family (Belarusian: Калавур, Kałavur; Russian: Каллаур) was a szlachta family originating from the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and later the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth, and was a noble family in the Russian Empire after the Partitions of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth.[1]

History

The landed property "Kałłaurowiczy" in Pinsk powet was mentioned for the first time in 1524. The members of family held public offices in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. For example, szlachcic Pronka Kałłaur was the "woźny" of Pinsk powet. During the XVII-XIX cc., family members were settling in Pinsk, Asaŭcy, Lemiaševičy etc.[2] In 1767, szlachcic Dawid Kałłaur was living in Kałłaurowiczy.[3] The members of family had been supporting the January Uprising in 1863-1864. The monument in honor of the rebels Vasilij, Semen Kałłaur and Anton Šałamicky was installed in 1933 in Šałomičy near Pinsk.[4]
