KRVF (106.9 FM) is a country music formatted radio station licensed to Kerens, Texas. This rimshot station transmits on frequency 106.9 FM and is owned and operated by LKCM Radio Group.

KRVF is a sister station of the main "The Ranch" station 95.9 KFWR-FM in Mineral Wells, Texas. KRVF also simulcasted over radio station 107.1 KRVA in Sulphur Springs, Texas, but that has since concluded as LKCM sold 107.1 to The Way Media Group. KRVA now airs a Variety Hits format for Sulphur Springs independently.

The station is an affiliate of the Dallas Cowboys radio network.[1]

History

This station began as KAMA in 1962 with an unknown format, then that same year the station went dark. On New Year's Day in 1993, the station was given a second revival as KRVA with a Spanish music format installed by Spanish Radio pioneer Marcos Rodriguez, Sr. son of Marcos A. Rodriguez. Four years later, it was changed to KZDF under the same format, then in 1999, the KRVA callsign was re-established and has simulcasted WFAA-TV's evening news in Spanish. In 2003, the station was bought by LKCM (from First Broadcasting) and was changed to KRVF and broadcasts Texas/Red Dirt music. It is the "sister" station to KFWR The Ranch in Ft. Worth, Texas.
