Kukatpally is a neighbourhood of Hyderabad in the Indian state of Telangana. It is the headquarters of Kukatpally mandal in Malkajgiri revenue division of Medchal district.[1] It was a municipality prior to its merger into the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.[2]
It has road connectivity and proximity to the Information Technology hub of Hitech city.[3]
Election information
Kukatpally Constituency is a newly formed constituency.It is formed after delimitation of Khairtabad. 2009 Election is the first election in this constituency and Dr. Jayaprakash Narayan of Lok Satta Party won with 34.84% votes. Madhavaram Krishna Rao of Telugu Desam party won the elections in 2014.[4]
