KJKE-FM (93.3 FM, "93.3 Jake FM") is a radio station broadcasting a new country music format.[1] Licensed to Newcastle, Oklahoma,[2] the station serves the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. The station is owned by Tyler Media. Current on-air staff includes Kevin Christopher (Mornings), Owen Pickard (Midday) & Carly Rae (Afternoon Drive). Although it was speculated that 93.3 Jake FM would swap frequencies with 92.5 KOMA-FM sometime in 2014 or late 2013, there were no changes in frequency as of June 2014. The station's studios are located in Northeast Oklahoma City and a transmitter site is located in Newcastle.
Jake FM puts on numerous listener appreciation shows in the metro, including Jake's Birthday Bash, Jake's New Face Showcase, Jake's Small Town Throwdown, Jake Jam, and Jake's Jingle Jam. The largest show with the most in attendance is the annual outdoor festival put on each Summer, Jake Jam. Each year thousands gather for the outdoor music concert, making it Oklahoma's largest outdoor country music festival in the state. The on-air staff broadcasts at remote locations encouraging listeners to come by to pick up their free tickets. Jake Jam is usually announced at the beginning of Summer and is put on in August.
