K. Parasuraman is an Indian politician and Member of Parliament elected from Tamil Nadu. He is elected to the Lok Sabha from Thanjavur constituency as an Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam candidate in 2014 election.

Shri. K. Parasuraman showed the highest activity in the Lok Shaba among the MPs from Tamil Nadu. He raised 376 Questions and also participated in 73 Debates as of December 2016.

His successful debates and activities includes “Improvements and Rehabilitation of Irrigation Systems in Cauvery Basin for Efficient Irrigation Management” at an estimated cost of Rs 11420 Crores. First Phase of this project “Extension, Renovation and Modernisation of Grand Anicut Canal Sub basin of Cauvery Basin in Tamil Nadu” was approved by the Technical Advisory Committee of Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation on 30.9.2016 for an amount of Rs 2298.75 Crores.

He raised his voice in Parliament for various good causes in Thanjavur Constituency, such as Smart City, Airport, Central Agricultural University, The All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Central Water Institute, Indian Institute of Technology, Music University, Central Polytechnic, Kendriya Vidyalaya School in Pillayarpatti, Godowns in all Taluks of Thanjavur District to procure and protect agricultural commodities.

He also took necessary steps to protect the monuments and sites such Thanjavur Big Temple, Palace by The Archaeological Survey of India.
