Julia Aviva Hahn (born 1991) is an American journalist and Special Assistant to President Donald Trump. After working as an editor for Breitbart News, in January 2017 Hahn was appointed Special Assistant to President Donald Trump and aide to strategist Steve Bannon.[1]

Early life

Hahn was born to a Jewish family,[2][3][4] and grew up in Beverly Hills. She attended Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles.[5] Her grandfather Harold Honickman had a net worth that in 2002 was estimated at $850 million,[6] the 277th wealthiest person in America, according to the Forbes 400.[7]

She attended the University of Chicago, studying philosophy.[1] While a student, she also studied in Paris.[8] Hahn’s senior thesis at the University of Chicago was on “issues at the intersection of psychoanalysis and post-Foucauldian philosophical inquiry".[8]

Career

After graduating at the University of Chicago, she worked as a producer for The Laura Ingraham Show and served as press secretary for Virginia Congressman Dave Brat.[1]

Ann Coulter describes Hahn as "the most wonderful, brilliant, kind, principled human being I’ve ever met... I want her to be president as soon as she’s old enough.”[9] Hahn had worked at Breitbart since 2015 as a writer and editor, until she followed Steve Bannon to the White House.[10]

According to The New York Times, on entering the White House at age 25, Hahn's financial disclosure forms indicate she had some $1.5 million in stocks, as well as a Custodial Bank Account for minors containing between $500,000-$1 million.[11]
