Josh Robin

Joshua Ian Robin (best known as Josh Robin; born 5 March 1976) is a television journalist in New York City with the all-news channel NY1. He is a political reporter who contributes to the nightly program Inside City Hall. He also anchors NY1 news programming and contributes to YNN and News 14 Carolina, NY1's sister channels.

Robin won several awards for his coverage of the 2010 race for Governor of New York State.[1] He began work at the station in 2005 after several years as a newspaper reporter (Newsday, The Seattle Times, The New York Times). In 1996 while on a semester abroad, he was a stringer for The Nairobi Law Monthly in Nairobi, Kenya, where he reported on allegations of police brutality near the border with Sudan.

Education

Robin holds a master's degree in Communication (Journalism) from Stanford and a bachelor's degree cum laude from Tufts. He was born and raised in Stamford, Connecticut, where he attended Westhill High School (Connecticut) and The Bi-Cultural Day School.

Personal life

Robin is married to reporter and communications consultant Manoush Zomorodi. They live in Brooklyn with their son and daughter.[3] Robin's brother, Andy Robin, is a medical student at Brown University who previously wrote several notable Seinfeld episodes.
