Jonathan Keating

Jonathan Peter Keating is a British mathematician. He is currently a Professor at the University of Bristol.


Education

He obtained his PhD in 1989 at the University of Bristol under the supervision of Michael Berry.[1][2]


Research and career

His research is on quantum chaos, random matrix theory and its connection to the Riemannian zeta function and other zeta functions. He was served on the editorial boards of several peer reviewed scientific journals including:

Nina Snaith was one of his doctoral students.

Awards and honours

Since 2009, he is a Fellow of the Royal Society.[3]

In 2010, he was awarded the Fröhlich Prize.[4]

In 2014, he was awarded the Royal Society Wolfson Research Merit Award.[5]
