Jonathan Michael Dziedzic (/ˈdʒɛdʒˌɛk/)[1] (born February 4, 1991), pronounced is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Kansas City Royals organization.
Dziedzic attended Atascocita High School in Humble, Texas,[2] and Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. He played college baseball for the Lamar Cardinals. The Boston Red Sox selected Dziedzic in the 37th round, with the 1,141st overall selection, of the 2012 MLB draft.[3] He did not sign, returning to Lamar University.[4]
The Kansas City Royals selected Dziedzic in the 13th round, with the 381st overall selection, of the 2013 MLB draft.[5][6] Pitching for the Omaha Storm Chasers of the Class AAA Pacific Coast League (PCL) in 2016, he was named the PCL Pitcher of the Week on April 18.[7] The Royals invited him to spring training in 2017.
