Archbishop John Ha Tiong Hock (born 5 March 1947 in Kuching, Sarawak), was ordained a priest on 14 December 1972, and was appointed Auxiliary Bishop of Kuching on 17 January 1998. His episcopal ordination was on 6 June 1998. He was appointed Archbishop of Kuching[1] on 23 June 2003, and was installed on 16 July 2003.[2] On March 4, 2017, he resigned as Archbishop, handing over the diocese to his Auxiliary Bishop, Simon Peter Poh Hoon Seng.[3] He was also the president of the Malaysia-Singapore-Brunei Episcopal Biblical Commission.[4]
