John D'Arco Sr.
John D'Arco Sr. (March 27, 1912 – October 27, 1994) was an American politician.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, D'Arco served in the Illinois House of Representatives from 1945 to 1952 and was involved in the Democratic Party. From 1952 until 1963, D'Arco served on the Chicago City Council for the 1st ward and also served as the ward's Democratic committeeman from 1952 until 1992. D'Arco was investigated by the United States government involving his relationship with the Chicago Outfit because of Operation GAMBAT, but was never indicted. D'Arco died in Chicago, Illinois. His son John A. D'Arco Jr. also served in the Illinois General Assembly.[1][2]
