Joe Santagato (born February 25, 1992) is an American entertainer and comedian from Astoria, New York.

Early life

Santagato was born in Queens, New York and raised with his siblings Keith, Shannon and Thomas. His mother, Elizabeth Santagato, was a school secretary at a public school, and his father was a firefighter in the FDNY, who retired when Santagato was six. He attended St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School for kindergarten, public school for elementary school, and Louis Armstrong Middle School.[3] He then went to St. Francis Preparatory School for high school, where he was a receiver on the high school football team. From a young age, he enjoyed sports and being in front of a camera. In 2010, one of Santagato's friends suggested that he start posting videos on YouTube.[4] In early 2013, the digital journalism platform Narratively published a feature about him and his family titled "The Kardashians of Queens".[5]

Career

Before pursuing Youtube full-time, Santagato worked as a producer and editor for American online news platform Elite Daily.[6] In 2016, he hosted The Rock's YouTube show titled Rock The Promo.[7]
