Junior Joao Maleck Robles (born 12 March 1999) is a Mexican footballer who plays as a forward for FC Porto B, on loan from Santos Laguna.[1] He also holds French citizenship.

Youth career

Maleck was born in Guadalajara to a French-born father, Jean-Claude Maleck (whose father is of Cameroonian descent), and a Mexican mother. Maleck's father met his mother while playing for Estudiantes Tecos.[2]

Maleck started his youth career with C.D. Guadalajara in 2011. In 2013, he was released from the academy and was recommended by Marco Fabian in Academia Marco Fabian, an academy run by Fabian and his father in Zapopan.[3] After spending a year in the academy, he was scouted by Santos Laguna and joined their academy in 2015. After winning the under-17 title with Santos, Maleck signed for FC Porto B on loan for 1 year with an option of being purchased.[4]
