Jimmy Jones (comedian)

Jimmy Jones (born 9 February 1938) is an English comedian, known for being outspoken.[1]

Jones attended a Catholic school and initially wanted to train to be a priest.[1] He grew up in Rainham, East London and currently lives in Upminster.[1]

Jones continues to tour as of 2015. He was the first stand-up comedian to release a video of his live shows and in the early 1980s had 3 videos in the UK top ten. Jones now has a dozen DVDs available. His autobiography, Now This is a Very True Story (ISBN 978-1843581963), was written by Garry Bushell.

Jones is currently celebrating his 51st year in show business and still performs throughout the year.
