C. James Koch (pronounced /kʊk/, "cook"; born May 27, 1949) is an American entrepreneur, the co-founder and chairman of the Boston Beer Company, the producers of Samuel Adams beer.

Early life

Koch earned a Juris Doctor, Master of Business Administration, and a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University.

Career

He is a former consultant with The Boston Consulting Group. He was formerly an Outward Bound instructor. In 1984, Koch co-founded the Boston Beer Company, the producers of Samuel Adams beer.[1]

Publications

In spring 2016, Koch published Quench Your Own Thirst: Business Lessons Learned Over a Beer or Two.

Personal life

He is married to entrepreneur Cynthia Fisher.
