Jim Hart is a Canadian municipal politician who was appointed to Toronto City Council in 2017 to represent Ward 44 following the death in office of Ron Moeser. He was endorsed via a letter to council by Moeser's widow, Heather.[1]
Hart retired in 2014 after working for the City of Toronto for 31 years.[2] He is a former general manager of the Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation Division[3] and also served as assistant to Moeser.[4]
Hart stated during his speech to council that if appointed, he will not seek re-election in the next Toronto election.
