Jiangwang Subdistrict

Jiangwang (Chinese: 蒋王) subdistrict is located in the western suburbs of Yangzhou, in the China. It covers a total area of 13.6 square kilometers, including four village resident committees, a neighborhood, a community.[1] The total population is more than 16,000 people. In recent years, the government of Jiangwang Subdistrict has aimed to develop and accelerate the economy, which intends to make people’s living standard grow faster and faster. With the remarkable increase of democracy and the legal system, harmonious and stable social situation, people's living standard and life quality have risen greatly. It has been rewarded for the effective control of public security.

Agriculture

After two year's implementing the policy of benefiting peasants, vegetable production developed rapidly. Currently, there are 6500 mu of vegetable crop fields. With effective application of new technology, it has promoted six new varieties of vegetables, eight types of nursery stock flowers and two tunnel technologies. Nearly ten thousand yuan has been used to construct agricultural facilities, dredge 103 rivers, complete 21.5 liters of earthwork and build another 3500 meters of brick or stone lining and drained a new pump station.

Industry

Jiangwang's economy has risen greatly in recent years. The development of Jiangwang depends not only on the rapid growth of agriculture, but also on the development of industry. First, its investment promotion achieved remarkable results and it has introduced seven foreign capital projects. Second, local traditional strong enterprises have made a great contribution to the economy. BaiTai Group, Lake Weft Knitting, Red Man Dress and Jia Yang Clothing all make major contributions to the local economy.

Merger of administrative villages

Some administrative villages have been merged: ZhiYuan village with Yulin village with the combined name of Yulin village; Four LianCun with LinHeCun with the combined name of Four LianCun; Yuelai village with TangHu village with the combined name of Yuelai village.

Culture

Jiangwang Middle School and Jiangwang Primary School are in Jiangwang Subdistrict. JiangWang Middle School is located in number 40 road in the JiangWang town in Yangzhou and was Founded in 1960. The school strives "to over come difficulties, to nurture characteristics, to malposite(?) the management of development" and has created a curriculum based on culture, art and sports. Since 2005, every year, more than 100 have gone on to a university.
