Jerwin Ancajas is a Filipino professional boxer. He is currently ranked seventh by The Ring[1], ranked fifth by the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board[2], and ranked eighth by BoxRec.[3]
He became the International Boxing Federation junior bantamweight champion when he defeated McJoe Arroyo on September 3, 2016 by unanimous decision.[4] Ancajas earned just $3,750 for the fight.[5] He entered the fight on an 11-fight win streak.[6]
Ancajas is the first world champion promoted by MP Promotions, a promotional company owned by Manny Pacquiao.[7]
He also holds a victory over Tanawat Phonnaku and lost to Mark Anthony Geraldo.[8][9]
He battered Teiru Kinoshita's eye On the 2nd of July, 2017, earning a TKO victory on the 7th round by a solid right hook to the body of kinoshita; retaining the IBF super flyweight title.
