Jeremiah Metcalf is an American mixed martial artist currently competing in the Welterweight division. He has competed for Strikeforce, King of the Cage, ShoXC, and PFC.[1]
Mixed martial arts career
Early career
Metcalf made his professional MMA debut on May 21, 2006 with a win over Felix Garcia at GC 50: Top Gunz. He compiled a record of 2-1 before being signed by Strikeforce in mid-2006.
Stikeforce
Metcalf would make his Strikeforce debut on October 7, 2006, when he faced Luke Stewart at Strikeforce: Tank vs. Buentello. He lost the fight via first round rear-naked choke.[2] After a short stint outside of the promotion, Metcalf returned and faced Dennis Hallman on November 16, 2007 at Strikeforce: Four Men Enter, One Man Survives. He lost the fight via heel hook, bringing his record to 0-2 in the promotion.[3]
In his last fight with Strikeforce, Metcalf faced Raymond Daniels at Strikeforce: Melendez vs. Thomson on June 27, 2008.[4] He won the fight via rear-naked choke.
Post-Strikeforce
After his last fight for the organization in 2008, Metcalf has compiled a record of 4-3 competing in organizations such as the Palace Fighting Championship and King of the Cage.
