Javed Ashraf

Dr. Javed Ashraf is a Pakistani academic and economist who serves as the Vice-Chancellor of Quaid-i-Azam University since October 13, 2014[1] and previously served as the dean of Cameron School of Business at the University of St. Thomas. He has also taught economics at University of Wisconsin, the University of Hartford, and the University of West Florida, where he taught for 13 years.[2] He returned to Pakistan after thirty years of teaching in the U.S. to assume charge as the Director of the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi (IBA) in 2000, where he served till 2002.[3][4]

Dr. Ashraf earned his Ph.D in Economics from Northern Illinois University in 1986. He has two masters degrees from Boston University, and one from Government College University, Lahore.[5][6]
