Janhavi Prabhu-Arora (born 9 September 1978) is an Indian playback singer. She Completed her schooling from Tarapur Vidya Mandir (TVM), and graduation (B.com) from Chetana College, Bandra, Mumbai. She Started Her journey with the super hit Marathi music reality show Sa Re Ga Ma second season and she was a semi finalist for the season. Post the show she made her own album which was titled “JAANVEE” and which was released by the prestigious music label Sagarika.[1]
Early life
She was born in Mulund to Prakash Prabhu and Anuradha Prabhu, Her sibling is Juilee Hattangadi. Her Origin Is Kokan Kudal.
Musical Education
- She Learnt Indian Classical Music for 12 years under the tutelage of Mrs. Kumudini Katdare [1984-96]
- 2yrs of training in Indian Classical Music and Light (Gazal) Music at Sangeet Mahabharati [1996-98]
- She Trained with the Late Pandit Pratap Narayanji for Classical Music and Pandit Dhruba Ghosh for Light Music. [1998-99]
- She Trained with Mrs. Padma Talwalkar in Indian Classical Music. [1999 – 2004]
- She Trained in classical music with Shri Gautam Mukherjee (2004 – 2006)
- She Successfully completed Gandharva Mahavidyalaya’s “Madhyama Poorna” examination.

- She Sung a duet with Avadhoot Gupte for the Marathi film ”Sanai Choughade” produced by Mukta Arts and Shreyas Talpade under the music direction of Avadhoot Gupte.[2]
- She Sung two duets with Shaan for the film “Sumbaran” Produced and Directed by Gajendra Ahire under the music direction of Rahul Ranade.
- She Sung for “Nau Mahine Nau Diwas” under the music direction of Ajit Parab for which I was nominated for the prestigious Zee Gaurav Awards 2010.
- She Sung for “KshanBhar Vishranti” along with Avadhoot Gupte under the music direction of Hrishikesh Kamerkar.[3]
