Janek Ambros (born April 19, 1988) is an American film director, screenwriter, and film producer. He's also the founder and CEO to Assembly Line Entertainment, a film production company.[1] His most notable film as a director is the documentary Imminent Threat, which he also wrote, edited, and produced with Academy Award nominee James Cromwell.[2] The film was released in late 2015 and he received the Best Editing Award at the Downtown Los Angeles Film Festival.[3] His most notable film as producer is Ten Thousand Saints, starring Hailee Steinfeld and Ethan Hawke. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2015.[4]

Janek Ambros wrote and directed the film "May 15th in Paris", a film about the rise of populism in France during 1848 with visuals from present day Paris, highlighting the rise of populism in the west. The film sparked the first collaboration between himself and Martin Scorsese's producer of 40 years, Barbara De Fina.[5] The film was released in the summer/fall of 2017 on Amazon Prime and a limited theatrical release. That same year, the adventure film "Valley of Bones" was released in 2017 nationwide; the film stars Autumn Reeser, Alexandra Billings, Steven Molony, and Rhys Coiro.[6]

In the summer of 2017, his company, Assembly Line Entertainment, expanding to China when they brought in Jing Xue into the company.[7]
