Biography

When he was twenty five years old he was invited as an honorary professor for a seminar regarding plastic shapes in metal by the Faculty of Sculpture in Danzig. He has participated in the constitution of the Centro Design Orafo in Milan in 1977. In 1978 he founded the first seminar of Jewellery Design for the Istituto superiore di Design in Milan. He participated in the creation of the Jewellery Department of the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan where he taught for several years.

Art

James Rivière creations embrace sculpture, painting, industrial design, fashion and architecture, however jewellery is his most important form of expression. He won the jewellery category of the Triennale di Milano in 1972 and 1973. A few examples of his creations are:
