James R. Washburn

James R. Washburn (April 25, 1921 August 20, 2007) was an American politician.

Born in Morris, Illinois, Washburn served in the United States Marine Corps as a pilot during World War II. He went to North Central College and University of Illinois. In 1946, Washburn served as treasurer for Grundy County, Illinois and was a Republican. From 1967 to 1977, Washburn served in the Illinois House of Representatives. Washburn served as director of the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs. He then served as mayor of Morris, Illinois. Washburn died in Morris, Illinois.[1][2]
