James Mackie Deas (1890 – 27 January 1963) was a New Zealand politician of the Labour Party.

He represented the Otahuhu electorate from 1954 to 1963, when he died. He had unsuccessfully stood for Otahuhu in the 1951 election. [1] The resulting 1963 by-election when he died was won by Bob Tizard.[1]
