Jalluru is a village in the East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, India. It is part of Pithapuram mandal, though it was once part of Pithapuram rajyam.
History
There is historic evidence that Jain gurus and students used to live in the area, with the village originally being called Jainula Uru. The name evolved, first to Jainluru and then to Jalluru. The main source of income from agriculture (paddy, vegetables,palm oil) and mechanical contract works.
