Jalan MH Thamrin is one of the main streets of the central business district of Jakarta, Indonesia. Construction of the road started in 1949.[1] It was named in honor of independence activist and national hero Mohammad Husni Thamrin. This road extends 2.5 km from Bunderan Fountain of Bank Indonesia, Gambir, Gambir, Central Jakarta to Dukuh Atas, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta.

The road passes through five urban administrative villages:

Jalan MH Thamrin is part of Jakarta Car Free Days, which means it is closed to motor vehicles, with the exception of the TransJakarta busway, from 6:00 until 11:00 every Sunday. The Jakarta administration in December 2014 introduced a ban on motorcycles from using Jalan Thamrin and the adjoining Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat.[2]
