Jackie (Jackline Nake) Lumbasi is a Kenyan media personality working in Kampala, Uganda.[1][2] She co-hosts The Big Breakfast Show on 91.3 Capital FM with Marcus Kwikiriza and Oulanya[3] as well as reads the evening news on UBC in Uganda. She is very much known for her deep strong and husky voice and was mentioned among the highest paid radio presenters in Uganda.[4]

Life and Education

Jackie was born in Trans-Nzoia District, Rift Valley, Kenya to Richard and Grace Lumbasi. She is the first born in a family of five. Jackie attended Namasagali University and UMCAT in Uganda.

Radio and Television

Jackie’s unique voice,[5] personality and wide understanding of world matters led her to hosting the biggest morning breakfast show, The Big Breakfast and a Sunday request show, "Your Choice" on the biggest radio station. Jackie previously worked at Power Fm before joining Gaetano Kagwa and Oulanya[6] to replace Lilian Mbabazi who had just left the station. Jackie has co-hosted The Big Breakfast with so many presenters like Gaetano Kagwa, Alan Kasujja, Ramesh Gabalsing, and now Marcus Kwikiriza and Oulanya Columbus. She is among the longest serving presenters at Capital FM behind radio veteran Alex Ndawula. Her hairstyle is dreadlocks but always wears a wig while anchoring news on TV.[7]

Charity

Jackie Lumbasi has visited and donated to different babies home, children with disabilities and street children.[8]
