Jack Britt High School is a public high school located in southern Cumberland County, North Carolina. It is attended by approximately 1,950 students in grades nine through twelve and was 2010 Winner of U.S. News & World Report America’s Best High Schools Bronze Medal.
Integrated Systems Technology Academy
Jack Britt, like many other schools in Cumberland County, has an academy, or a special program of study that focuses a student's education on a specific subject. The Integrated Systems Technology Academy of Engineering provides students the opportunity to study and learn technical design, engineering concepts and the skills needed to compete in the global job market.

Marching Band
The marching band has attended the Cary Band Day,Southview Rumble in the Jungle, Clinton Band Day, Grays Creek Battle in the Bears' Den, Brick Yard Classic, Pinecrest Competition, Cape Fear Colt Classic, USBands DeMoulin Challenge, Viking Classic, and the Bands of America Regional in Winston Salem. Jack Britt's 2007-2008 drum line won the state title at Cary Band Day, the oldest band competition in North Carolina. In 2012, the band qualified at the DeMoulin Challenge Regional-Wake Forest to compete at the USBands Nationals competition in New Jersey in November 2013. At Wake Forest, out of the 12 competing bands (from North Carolina, Georgia, and Virginia), the Pride of Jack Britt ranked in the top 6. The marching band concluded their 2012 season with two Grand Champion wins at the Viking Classic and the Brick Yard Classic. In 2013, Jack Britt's Marching Band attended the USBands grand national championship in New Jersey placing 12th overall out of 60 other bands. Also, 2013 marks the beginning of C3. C3 came around when the drumline members of that year played on The Cadets drums. They played so well, that everyone thought that they, themselves were The Cadets. Thus, C3 was born. In 2014, Jack Britt won numerous competitions, including high percussion in Pinecrest and other band competitions. Also, the last great year for C3 as many of the remaining members from 2013 moved, or graduated from school. "C3 lives on!!!'
Awards and Distinctions
2009-2010 U.S. News & World Report America's Best High Schools Bronze Medal
NCHSAA Exemplary School. Jack Britt was commended for its overall program, including athletic opportunities and facilities, community interest and involvement, and academics.
In 2010, Jack Britt won the Educational Trust's Dispelling the Myth Award, which recognizes outstanding work in narrowing achievement gaps between student groups, exceeding state standards, and rapidly improving student learning.[3]
