Jabir al-Kaabi
Jabir al-Kaabi (1780 – 1881) (Arabic: الشيخ جابر الكعبي) was the leader of the Bani Kaab Arab tribe and the Sheikh of Khorramshahr ("Mohammerah") during the 19th century. He had two sons, Maz'al Jabir al-Kaabi, who succeeded him as tribal leader, and Khaz'al ibn Jabir al-Kaabi.
Jabir was close with Nassereddin Shah Qajar and was a vital force in successfully defending Khuzestan from invading British and Ottoman forces.
